The Business Development Manager role is a global role responsible for enabling joint go-to-market with Nuage SD-WAN Service Provider Partners. The role will work directly with large and strategic SPs who are delivering managed services based on Nuage SD-WAN (VNS) product. The person will define overall go-to-market plan, support a growing customer pipeline, contribute to closing new SP business. The role will also work with Nuage and Nokia cross functional team to create and delivery partner specific contents to sales and technical team.  The role will report to Sr Director of Business Development in Nuage.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partner Development - Develop a go-to-market strategy with SP partner in order to optimize adoption of Nuage SD-WAN solution.

  • Relationship Management – Develop strong relationships throughout the partner organization (Management, sales teams, technical teams and marketing) ensuring partner compliance with the Nuage SPaaP Program and fostering a well-developed relationship between Nuage/partner sales and technical teams.
  • Partner training and enablement– Ensure that partner is able to effectively position, defend and sell Nuage based SD-WAN service in the market. Work with the partner, Nuage marketing and sales/SE team to drive partner sales training events and deliver the training contents, both sales and technical.
  • Sales and Marketing Collaterals – Work closely with partner product and marketing team to drive development of partner specific sales and marketing collaterals including case studies, use cases, battle cards, solution briefs, demo videos.  
  • Pipeline Growth and Management – Help partners sales along with Nokia Enterprise sales team on new sales opportunities. Ensure partners, Nokia sales reps and management are working together in the sales process.
 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven track record in business development, partnership/alliance and relationship management roles in technology industry preferably with networking companies.

  • In-depth technical expertise and credibility with technologies such as: computer networking, SDN, SD-WAN, Cloud orchestration tools, server, storage & network virtualization, datacenter operations and WAN virtualization.

  • IP routing and/or MPLS background desirable

  • Strong experience working with virtual teams across functions and geographies

  • Inclusive and collaborative – driving teamwork and cross-team alignment

  • Strong presentation and communication skills and ability to articulate complex technology simply

  • Ability to operate within a complex, dynamic and autonomous environment

  • Excellent conflict management skills, with the ability to be fair & firm.

  • May require up to 25-30% travel including globally.

 

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience in computer networking field.

  • 7-10 years’ experience in Business Development role in Service Provider or Enterprise, HW or SW firm
