Job Description

DI Chief Architect will have responsibility of driving DI (Digital Insights) technology evolution strategy and transformational efforts in moving away from vertical applications in transition to suite of applications by using common set of foundational building blocks and cloud native architecture based on microservices. The role will be reporting to the Head of DI R&D, Nazim Baserer, and the chosen candidate will be a member of the Insights R&D Leadership team.


Job Responsibilities & Competencies

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Driving the development of architectural epics/user stories for Suite architecture realization across all insights ARTs, working together with Insights product architects, SW architects and CTO architecture teams.
  • Lead the common data mediation strategy including solution roadmap aligned with the business requirements working with DI PLM.
  • Lead DI data strategy in identification of new common data strategy for digital insights, in alignment with CSP needs.
  • Represent DI Suite requirements in NSW CTO driven architecture work streams. e.g NSW architecture board meetings and in related discussions
  • Work with NSW AE (Applications Engineering) architecture team on standardization efforts beyond Digital insights (DI) domain to achieve more commonality i.e. logical/functional architecture and data/information model planning with relevant products and architects
  • Work with business/technology transformation teams in achievement of target KPIs committed for DI products.
  • Support customer meetings and engagements in architectural forums in representing DI common suite architecture where multiple applications proposed as part of solution architecture.
  • Work on SaaS transformation on public cloud-based offerings   

 

Minimum qualifications and competencies will include

  • Bachelor of Science or Engineering in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or similar.

  • At least 15+ years of experience

  • Significant experience working for an enterprise software company and/or SaaS provider

  • Proven, real-world experience in the some/all of the following:

  • Agile development

  • DevOps
  • E2E Software architecture development
  • Application integration, middleware, database, and other platform technologies
  • Virtualization technologies and approaches
  • Cloud (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and Cloud computing
  • Developing and deploying cloud-native applications, microservices, APIs, containers (Docker), Openstack, etc
  • Analytics, AI, and machine learning
  • Programming languages Java, Javascript, HTML5, Python, Ruby/Rails, SQL
  • Leveraging and contributing to opensource
  • Latest approaches to UX / UI development
  • Technology evaluations and selection
  • Leading virtual teams to accomplish complex objectives
  • Presenting to customers, industry forums, analysts and internal audiences
  • Communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Knowledge the telecommunications market, industry dynamics, key players, etc a definite plus
