DevOps Specialist, SoC SW Tools and Releasing


The team you’ll be part of

Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN). Nokia is developing the leading edge 5G solutions in Oulu and Tampere.

In SoC SW we release content and constructs best-in-class SW design principles, methodology and tools for ensuring reliable and predictable, high quality, timely and continuous deliveries of SW for MN SoC programs feeding Nokia Product programs.


As an DevOps Specialist, you will be in key role to develop release process and Continuous Integration (CI) pipeline to ensure our SW deliveries to internal customers.


As a part of our team you will get wide range of modern CI/DevOps tools to deploy your new ideas to our release pipeline and make those visible in the Nokia 5G success story.

What you will learn and contribute to



  • Responsibility of design, implementation, and maintenance of continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines in SoC SW tribe
  • CI infrastructure development and maintenance (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Build and maintain Yocto SDK for developers ​
  • Test deployment for the releasing process and Continuous Integration (CI) pipeline
  • Cooperation with SoC SW component development teams and internal customers by supporting to solve CI related problems in own expertise area


 We expect you to have: 


  • MSc or BSc degree in EE, CS, or similar 
  • Strong background and experience in CI process and tools deployment in embedded SW development environments
  • Ability to act as a technical specialist role in your team and support other SW sub-teams in (CI) related problems
  • Good team working skills, e.g., working together with related area specialists and ability to build network to establish good co-operation over the different SW development areas
  • Strong experience of scripting languages and tools (Groovy, Python, Robot framework, Cmake)
  • Very good knowledge of DevOps tools like Kubernetes, Docker, Gerrit, ZUUL, Jenkins etc.
  • Experience of the Big Data management related tools (Splunk, Elasticsearch etc.)
  • Experience of Yocto or willingness to grow as an specialist of the area
  • Experience of JIRA tool usage
  • Capable to co-operate and willingness to learn new things every day

Fluent written/spoken English, and good communication skills are enhancing your ability to work in international teams.
