The Nokia Bell Labs is looking for an ambitious and top engaged colleague as part of a new Device/Modem Implementation Team. We are looking for a top-motivated and highly skilled researchers.

 

Specifically your role includes the following responsibilities:

   Develop leading technologies and proof of ceoncepts in the area of terminal and devices/modems

   Working as part of a team with the ability to work independently as well

   Influence the next generation mobile communications and standards

 

Requirements:

   Strong system background in 5G or LTE is a prerequisite

   A background with a Master’s degree or equivalent.

   A profound understanding of the area of radio access systems is a prerequisite

   A profound understanding of the area of cellular devices is a prerequisite

   A good understanding of Radio Access solution & product portfolio and wireless business
strategy is required

   You must cover some of the following areas

   Device RF implementation, architecture and system performance

   Terminal/device development and prototyping

   RF front end design & RF level plans

   Tranceiver design and architecture

   Device baseband implementation, architecture and system performance

   Power optimisation & battery technology

   Embedded SW design & RTOS

   SW build environment for embedded systems

   HW drivers for embedded systems

   Trace & debug for embedded systems

   L1 implementation and algorithm design

   L2/3 protocol SW architecture and implementation

   IPR generation

   Radio access FW


Perfect technical background:

   5+ years as development engineer in the mobile and/or device/modem business

   Multi -national and distributed environment

   Extensive exposure to international interworking culture, experience in leading distributed
teams is an advantage

   You are proactive and willing to follow and search for latest research results!

   Fluent English skills is a requirement

Personal attributes:

   Strong technical skills

   Strong communications skills both written and verbally

   Strong skills in networking across organizational structures

   Strong technical and influential leadership skills

   Fast analytical and abstraction capabilities

   High self-esteem/self-value to be able to challenge and to let expertise in team steer decision making, but with high technical intuition to cut through nonsense and do prioritization

   Strong results orientation

   Must adopt quickly to new conditions and actively manage changes

   Willingness to travel
