The team you'll be part of

Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).

Within our Mobile Networks (MN) business group, you will have the opportunity to work with a group of teams that is addressing the next evolution of wireless communications in Layer 1. We are designing, validating, and productizing Machine Learning (ML) algorithms whose primary aim is to provide our products the competitive edge. Our teams are composed of experts in Digital Signal Processing (DSP), Wireless Communication Systems (WCSys), and ML. In addition, we also have junior members, as well as thesis workers exploring novel topics. 


What you will learn and contribute to

We are working on the bleeding edge of technology. Our problems are difficult from the ML, DSP, and WCSys point of view. In addition, we have the pains of growing teams in a competitive industry. Every day is a learning experience, and comfort is something we only find in the small victories or failures that we encounter as a team. The first, and primary requirement, is that the Expert Data Engineer hoping to join us, is able to cope with this sort of environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design, coordinate, and implement the next iterations of our:
    • Data pipelines
    • Data warehouses
    • Data movement within our training environment
    • Optimal use of our infrastructures
  • Learn from and collaborate with other teams in the domain of Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) for our ML work streams
  • Advise and/or lead our more junior team members on the subject


Your skills and experience

 You must have:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the field
  • Solid SW Engineering skills is a must, whereby git, scrum/kanban, and object oriented programming (OOP) are essential 
  • Fluency with unix/linux systems
  • Unix shell scripting
  • Python
  • Docker, workflow systems (Apache airflow, etc…), Kubernetes, VMs

 It would be nice if you also had:

  • Telecommunications knowledge, time-series data handling, DSP knowledge
  • Experience with data collection pipelines
  • Experience with pipelines connected to real hardware/machines
