Education:
  • University degree in Electronics (BE /B-Tech), computer engineering or equivalent, majoring in electronics or IT.  Candidates with Diploma / Advanced Diploma based qualifications may be considered pending other relevant technical skills, experience, attitude and capabilities.
 
Languages:
  • Although the position is based in Japan, a high degree of communications in English is expected.  Fluency in written English is a must and fluency in spoken English is highly desirable.
 
Behavioural:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Creative and resourceful,
  • Assertive with customer first attitude 
  • Uses language as a tool to troubleshoot, to explain and to negotiate 
  • Can cope with pressure, stress resistant
 
Flexibility: 
  • Must participate in 24x7 on-duty service on rotational basis,
 
Technical:
  • Protocol knowledge:  GPON, SIP, H.248, IGMP, ADSL2, VDSL2, SHDSL, SNMP, SNTP, DHCP, UNIX , PPPoE
  • Product knowledge: ISAM 7302, ISAM 7330, ISAM Voice Package, ISAM FTTH 7360, 7368 ISAM ONT, AMS 5520, 5529 applications (APC/IDM/OAD/SDC), 5530 NA
  • 2-5 year of experience on DSLAM/GPON.
  • Basic knowledge of IP is mandatory.
  • Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux is preferred
Candidate with less experience but passionate on new technology and willing to learn will be considered as well.
