CT Head - Business Development
Requirements:
-Excellent familiarity with the telecommunications carrier sector and a real interest in technology and its creative applications, preferably by way of previous employment with a carrier of some size and sophistication, involving major next generation network developments and their relevance to Nokia customers. |
-Demonstrated, strong experience in negotiating deals, and managing teams, involving the full range of telecommunications carrier and related services, applications, middleware, devices and their management. |
-The identification of business opportunities, the ability to determine their commercial viability and establish the business case and prepare strategies and plans to convert the opportunities to sales. |
-A proven track record of selling to major customers at executive levels in complex, multi-partner deals with long sales cycles. Experience to include selling products, services and solutions. Strong focus on developing new business (‘hunter’) in addition to business as usual sales (‘farmer’). |
-Demonstrated track record of partnering customers successfully |
-The ability to work across cultures and geographies. |
-P&L and business planning responsibility. |
-Led, negotiated and managed complex commercial contracts. |

- Clear expertise in building a business plan and executing effectively on the strategy. |
- Excellent inter-personal communications skills both verbal and written. |
- Sound managerial and financial acumen and judgment. |
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills, particularly in respect of Nokia’s various business units. |
- The ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines in an organisationally fluid working environment. |
- Ability to successfully influence offshore product divisions to support customer and company needs in Malaysia. |
- Energy and enthusiasm to take on a role of this nature. Lots of passion for the role required. |
- Demonstrable leadership qualities and great people management skills. |
- Bias for action. Proactive. |
- Tertiary qualifications, preferably in business/commerce or related disciplines, and - MBA qualifications are highly desirable. A technical qualification is essential. |
