Architect, SoC architecture


 
We are looking for SoC architect focusing on L2 and security domains to strengthen our SoC Architecture and Specification (A&S) team.
  
Qualifications 
 
You are a senior engineer with expert level knowledge in L2 architecture and system design development. An architect who can lead & drive SoC feasibility studies, collect requirements and plan architecture in close co-operation with partners. Major part of the job is to steer, manage and monitor progress of our partners on technical topics. You work together with multiple stakeholders to build SoC content.  One key element in the job is to understand and follow 3GPP standardization and translate it to implementation level requirements. You have hands on attitude and like to work close to actual implementation and similar activities (e.g. bring-up). On security domain you will be focusing to network security in which you have practical experience, and you are able to define high quality security architectures.  
To succeed in these tasks, you need to understand SoC design, integration, implementation, and verification aspects. You need to have both willingness to study things in detail to complete needed feasibility studies and self-motivation with Drive for Results -attitude to complete your tasks in required time. Your presentation and documentation skills must be on excellent level. 
As a senior member of organisation, you also have necessary leadership skills and you know how to best influence and motivate people. 
You are willing to learn continuously and you are excited doing a variety of technical leading tasks as part of your job. You are always ready to share your knowledge and skills among the other people. You are a great team worker, but also efficient on independent tasks. Your English language skills must be on a high level to communicate efficiently in our multicultural environment. 
 
 Main Responsibility Area  
 
As a member of SoC A&S organization you will participate in defining world class L2 SoC with our partners and define network security architecture work. Your responsibilities are defining requirements, defining SoC architecture with partners for target SoC designs – defining requirements for PPA, organising document reviews, and controlling partner quality. 
Important part of your job is to guide the verification and validation plans and provide an architectural contribution there. 

 

Job Description: 


•    Drive L2 SoC development with partners 
•    Define network security architecture and feasibility studies, and contribute to target architecture development
•    Review L2 architecture, functional, design and verification documents from partner
•    Owner of requirement management in domain
•    Participate to SoC design, modelling, verification and validation planning with partners and work as architect to drive & support these activities
•    Cooperate with internal customers, system engineers, architects, SoC suppliers and other relevant functions to solve technical issues for architecture and quality 
•    Control of partner quality
•    Support HW/SW Bring-up and debug 
  
Additional Requirements:  
 
•    Master’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent   
•    Around 10 years working experience in SoC development, architecture, requirements, and features
•    Excellent knowledge of CPU, interconnect, transport, ODP/EM
•    Good understanding of digital signal processing and related mathematics
•    Understanding modelling and capability of creating models to validate architecture decisions and measure performance KPIs vs set targets and requirements   
•    Good knowledge of SoC design, integration, implementation, and verification 
•    Excellent understanding of cellular networks (especially LTE and 5G technology) and wish to drive 6G from Nokia SoC perspective
•    Excellent understanding of network security - MACsec and IPsec. 
•    Solid understanding of ORAN and vRAN solutions and how this transformation will impact to L2 domain.  
•    Good understanding of related algorithms, SW and HW interaction
•    Excellent spoken and written English
