Bell Labs - Post Doc - System and sub-system research engineer

Required Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)

·         Ph.D degree in Electrical Engineering - Post Doc Position.

·         Demonstrated hands-on experience and authored multiple publications in sub-system level research in the field of optical and wireless communication or sensing.

Desired Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)

The ideal candidate will have strong experience and have performed leading research in any of the following fields:

·         Novel sub-systems design and testing using photonics and electronics devices.

·         Research on photonic sensing algorithms and system design, e.g. OCT

·         Design and fabrication of integrated photonics devices.

·         New algorithms for communication channel equalization and DSP and their implementation in ASICs or FPGAs.

·         Modeling of photonics or electronics systems and communication links. 

·         Data networking, routing and switching.  

·         New algorithms and hardware implementations for neural networks and deep learning.
