Required Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge):

The successful candidate must have an MS degree or equivalent experience in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial design, product design or related fields with 5+ years' experience.

  • Demonstrated experience in device concept development and device architecture development
  • Experience with integrating hardware and software and troubleshooting required.
  • Experience with CAD / CAE tools (SolidWorks preferred), Keyshot or other render software. 
  • Experience in the Adobe suite of design software (In Design, Photoshop, Illustrator) is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge in system communication protocols like uART, I2C, SPI
  • Experience in system design with Ethernet, USB2/3, PCIE, WiFi, BT and serial links
  • Experience in system power design for low power, high efficiency systems
  • Experience in high speed memory system design, including DDR3, DDR4, LPDDR3 and LPDDR4
  • Experience in PCB design, hands on knowledge on schematic capture and layout. Signal integrity knowledge is a big plus
  • Experience with thermal design/analysis is a plus
  • Working experience with programming in C and Python on platforms such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi.
  • Ability to work and productively interface with colleagues of similar and different disciplinary backgrounds.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive nature and willing to learn
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Demonstrated agility in development experience working on multiple products / projects
  • Proven record of bringing design from concept to production and hands-on experience with designing, building and testing prototypes
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing to team-oriented projects in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Self-starter and highly motivated to contribute to the innovation agenda and make a difference to Nokia’s business
