Nokia IT organization is composed of nine units:

 

The Infrastructure team provides core infrastructure services, laying the foundations for effective delivery of IT services across Business Applications, Enterprise Resource Planning and Digital Workplace domains. It seeks continuous service quality and cost improvements

 

The Digital Workplace team provides all end-user related IT services including collaboration tools, service desk & support, images and communication solutions. It aims at delivering a seamless end-user experience whilst boosting productivity and mobility of the Nokia workforce.

The Enterprise Resource Planning provides SAP services to multiple Business Groups and corporate functions, each with their own designated Business Application Owners who also act as Business Partners, representing the single face of IT to a Business Group

 

The Business Applications team provides end-to-end services to Business Groups and corporate functions, each with their own designated Business Application Owners who also act as Business Partners, representing the single face of IT to a Business Group or corporate function.

 

The Enterprise Architecture team leads the translation of the business and IT strategy into a realistic architectural design that guides and drives the development of IT service offerings. It works with respective IT functions and with the business to ensure alignment between technology roadmaps and target architectures with their respective priorities and goals.

 

The CIO Office defines IT strategic priorities in alignment with the needs of the business, both for today and for the future. It defines a well-articulated, multi-year iterative strategy, translating it into mandatory and discretionary investments reflected as part of an evolving IT portfolio.

 

The Cyber-Security team protects the Nokia organization from exposure to information breaches and cyber-attacks with the aim of minimizing operational and reputational risk. It develops and delivers a consistent set of frameworks and activities including demonstrating risk management in line with Nokia business and regulatory expectations.

 

The Vendor Management team leads the relationship and the financial and contract management of key IT suppliers in close cooperation with global procurement, with the aim of balancing ongoing cost with delivery performance. It ensures long term and predictable continuity of supply from strategic IT suppliers that meet the needs of Nokia's business.

 

Community & Employee Engagement defines and manages the engagement strategy toward internal and external stakeholders and within IT. It supports other IT functions in building common mindset and behaviors and a wider understanding of IT.

 

IT Enterprise Architecture’s (EA) Emerging Technology organization plays a role in researching new technologies to support both Nokia’s product development and process optimization.  The engineers on this team will have a full life cycle responsibility for their ideas & research.  Starting from identifying opportunities with Business and EA peers, assessing & prioritizing, solution investigation and experimentation, followed by proof of concept activities.  In addition researching emerging technologies, this team will work collaboratively with Bell Labs to front-end our Artificial Intelligence Innovation Lab by building AI awareness and finding & assessing AI opportunities to be prototyped.

 

On a daily bases, you will work with Business Leaders to build awareness and inquire about their teams challenges; participate in ideation sessions with Business and subject matter experts (SMEs), developing and pitching business case to sponsors, working with internal and external SMEs on innovative solutions; and sharing PoC results to determine Business value; and ultimately help transition to Delivery team for productization.



Responsibilities:


  • Collect, assess, prioritize new technology ideas from Enterprise Architecture and Intelligence Automation opportunities from the Business where help is needed
  • Build awareness/training of AI and how it can enhance team’s products and process optimization
  • Manage or support ideation workshops to develop candidate solutions to Business challenges
  • Develop business cases with support from Business and pitch to Sponsor
  • Coordinate Proof of Concept (PoC) or Prototypes to validates ideas (preparation, plans, staffing, data availability, development environment)
  • Collaborate with other teams or organizations (internal or external) to get the job done.
  • Execute these activities using a fast-iteration Agile approach, staying within agreed constraints as applies to cyber-security and architectural
  • Help transition positive outcomes to other IT units for productization delivery and support



Technical Skills:


  • Bachelor’s degree minimum, Master and PhD Degree considered in priority – Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Machine Learning
  • Experience in leading IT and Innovation projects
  • Experience in Artificial Intelligence
  • Experience in Project and Program Management:  working with product/process/data owners


  • Experience in Agile methodologies, sprint reviews, planning sessions


  • Experience in managing Proof of Concepts.  Fast 1-3 month MVPs


  • Ability to manage and complete multiple tasks within deadlines and constraints
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal).
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills- written & verbal, towards audiences ranging from technical to executive
  • Ability to absorb broad ideas and break down into meaningful minimum value product deliveries
  • Passion for innovation and incoming ideas/concepts
  • Broadly agile and lean mindset and an obsession with learning through experimentation
  • Able to learn autonomously using Internet, books, studies
  • Able to share knowledge, train team members
  • Able to work in cross-functional, multi-site teams built in non-traditional ways and comprising in-sourced, out-sourced, and student components
