Organization description: Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence based operator business model transformation is a key pillar for Nokia Global services strategy for growth and business agility. Network Cognitive services (NCS) Services unit (SU) realizes this pillar for GS strategy execution.

 

GS NCS is responsible with Global Portfolio Ownership. Ownership includes Offerings Innovation, Definition, Roadmap, intellectual property creation, capability Blueprint, and ongoing portfolio delivery excellence.

 

NCS assets are platform and capabilities. The platform is Cloud based Azure/other multi-cloud possibilities, that combines big data storage, intelligent analytics and extreme automation, allowing Telecom operators to move away from traditional reactive network operations to a cognitive approach that predicts faults and solves them rapidly. It is an enabler for fast analytics use cases internal development as well as for partners for both enriching our NCS offering or creating a new one for own end customers.

 

GS NCS is organized into four analytics portfolio offering segments – Cognitive Operations, network analytics, Subscriber experience, and Data Monetization.

 

Cognitive Operations focusses on realizing Telco OPEX efficiency through Zero-Touch Automation. Data Monetization utilizes anonymized subscriber location and mobility data to bring insights for varied industries including but not limited to retail, public sector, out of home media, transportation, utility etc.

 

We are seeking an Analytics Product manager for Cognitive Operations & Data Monetization Portfolio team.

 

Role:

The role of the Analytics Product manager is to successfully ramp up the analytics business at NCS Unit by driving customer-solution driven solution development and global future-oriented differentiative analytics solutions in strong co-operation with other related Nokia businesses (e.g. Managed Services, Nokia Software, etc)

Analytics Product manager will play a key role in building market traction and driving commercial success of NCS business.

 

Key Role Asks:

  • Role requires a good balance between customer focus, strategic and business acumen, and technical appreciation and deep dive where needed.

  • Act as Mini-CEO of services/solutions with strong personal drive:

    • Customer-focused, proactive, determined, driven, self-motivated, collaborative, co-operative, flexible, agile and result-oriented

  • Create new and disruptive business models connecting Nokia value proposition (through key competences/resources and partners) with the selected customer segments

  • Ideate, filter, Develop, Execute and manage Monetizable offerings in Operational efficiency segment of NCS business.

  • Ideate novel ideas to market, capture innovations, market asks, competitive space

  • Cause Champion: Validate ideas for monetizable potential. Sell idea and secure funding for the ideas. Defines (based on NCS strategy) service/solution strategy, roadmap and priority plans

     

  • Define, manage and own Business case of owned/assigned Analytics product/offerings

  • Own Idea to execution – complete product life cycle. Ideation, Requirements definition, Roadmap management, agile & DevOps methodology, POCs to success, selling and delivery capability creation

  • Own Product roadmap execution – time, quality, budget.

  • Sell and commercial capability creation – value proposition, delivery model, sales artifacts, pricing and costing model.

  • Product Champion towards sales organization – get your mindshare and help sales build funnel.

  • Proactively manage the roadmap to be market leading.

  • Set requirements and business priorities for the NCS R&D & larger GSD NCS teams

  • Is responsible for alignment with other services/solutions within NCS and other BUs/BGs

  • Is responsible for financial success (BCs, revenues, profit and ROI) for owned business segment/products

Key Professional and personal Attributes:


- Track record of bringing innovation of business outcomes (Revenues and Profits).

-Experience in Software as a Service, Software product management, Cloud based data product business, Software sales, IT/Telco Consulting – Min 2 is a must, all of them is desirable

-Presales level Working knowledge and experience in – Telco Operations Support Systems (OSS)/Business Support systems (BSS), Telco Operations process execution/transformation.

- Obsession with Customer success is mandatory – Customers, Nokia Sales, Nokia Partners, sister business units.

- Perseverance and eye for outcome and deliverables quality

-Team player – across different nationalities, cultures, and skill sets. People leadership ability in a cross team functional setup.

-Experience and Flexibility to work in global business environment.

-Ability to work in fast paced and rapidly evolving business environment.

-Ability to work in agile mode using ”minimum viable product” concept

-Being Proactive and considering oneself as a go-getter is a must have attribute.

-Working Knowledge of descriptive as well as predictive (important) analytics products creation is mandatory.

-Knowledge of software/SaaS modules in market ecosystem for partners, collaborators

-Architectural and offering Knowledge of key public cloud environments – AWS, GCP, Azure is desirable

-Previous software coding background, systems integration is an asset, though not a must have.
