Nokia Technologies Accounting team in Finland leads Nokia Technologies’ accounting processes and activities to support Nokia’s world class licensing business. Currently our accounting and reporting activities’ scope is to operate business through Finnish TECH entity plus some smaller foreign legacy entities. This team interacts closely with Nokia Technologies Business contacts, Controllers and other stakeholders within Nokia group.

 

We are now looking for Accounts Payable Accountant to join our team

 

 

 

Key responsibilities

 

In this exciting role, you will have an opportunity to apply your subject matter expertise to ensure high quality book keeping and reporting for Nokia Technologies. You will be responsible for the proper application of accounting policies and compliance to ensure reliable reporting and support to licensing businesses.

 

 

 

You are expected to have a good understanding of P2P process and to be familiar with Basware’s P2P solution. You might also be familiar with VAT taxation, fixed assets accounting, intercompany and closing processes.

 

 

 

Your daily tasks will include purchase invoice processing and accounts payable accounting, but also period end activities, reconciliations and financial data analysis. In this role, you will have an opportunity to influence on continuous improvement work by participating in financial processes, services and tools development.

 

 

 

 

 

In order to succeed in this exciting role, we expect you to have…

 

  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience in Financial Accountant role
  • Bachelor or similar Degree in Economics (Accounting or Finance)
  • A Good understanding of financial accounting, familiarity with knowledge of the associated accounting standard (FAS) other relevant GAAPs (IFRS) are seen as a bonus.
  • Familiarity with P2P solution, like Basware P2P, as an invoice processor or key user.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP Business By Design or other), Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Familiarity with Cloud Solution concepts are also seen as a bonus.

  • Fluent in both written and spoken English, proficient Finnish skills also considered as an advantage.

  • Analytical, active in seeking and sharing information

  • Ability to execute multiple tasks and adhere to strict deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment.

  • Effective interpersonal skills to work cooperatively and proactively within a multi-cultural environment.

  • Detail oriented with solid planning and organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities and have excellent follow-up skills.

  • Proactive, assertive, and creative approach to problem solving.
