Job description:
Students in this position will work as part of a product R&D engineering team located in the Dallas/Irving/Coppell area that is responsible for new product development of next generation wireless infrastructure hardware for Small Cell and 5G cellular products. The RF Hardware design team focuses on the design, integration, and verification of 5G Radio products RF performance and designs

 

Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:
Work will primarily be in supporting the RF Hardware development team in design and laboratory/test environment and intern should be comfortable with the practical and theoretical aspects of RF Hardware circuit design and simulation tools plus usage of common RF equipment such as signal generators, signal analyzers, and network analyzers.

 

Student Qualifications:


Must be enrolled as a full-time student for Fall 2020 

 

Must be pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field from an accredited college/university.

 

Intern should be familiar with creating content in Microsoft Office apps including Word and Excel and exhibit good verbal and written communication skills.

 

All staff are expected to adhere to Nokia engineering processes, including the maintenance of accurate documentation.


Experience in any of the following areas is a plus:

  • Knowledgeable in RF Circuit design and Signal Processing techniques

  • Knowledgeable in theoretical and practical understanding of RF Engineering and general principles, including digital modulation and demodulation

  • Experienced in RF circuit analysis and signal processing, and use of common RF simulation tools (HP ADS, APLAC preferred)

  • Familiar with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, fading simulator, power meters, etc..)

  • Become familiar with RF testing techniques

  • Test automation development in Python, C/C++, Visual basic SQL Servers/MS Access
